Research Funds
Research Funds are mainly obtained through competitive grants awaraded to various projects. On arrival to the Department, researchers are invited to join at least one research project. Below, please, find those currently in operation.
- Consolidating Economics.
In collaboration with other Spanish Universities, the Department participates in the program Consolider-Ingenio (CSD2006-00016). This is a five year project (1/1/2006 . 31/12/2010) granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education and headed by Andreu Mas-Colell.
- Decision and Interaction Processes in Socioeconomic
Environments.
This is a five year project (1/10/2007 . 30/09/2012) granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education (Ministerio de Ciencia e innovación, within the Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica (I+D)) and FEDER funds. Identification number (SEJ2007-62656). Headed by Carmen HERRERO. It involves 30 Ph.D. graduates. (Partial Report 2009), (Partial Report 2008), (Partial Report 2007)
- Ranking Methods, Selection and Sharing.
This is a three year project (1/10/2007 . 30/09/2010) granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education (Ministerio de Ciencia e innovación, within the Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica (I+D)) and FEDER funds. Identification number (SEJ2007-64649). Headed by Josep E. PERIS It involves 7 Ph.D. graduates.
- COSME
This is a three year project (Accion Complementaria) ((1-7-2008 30-10-2010) granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education (Ministerio de Ciencia e innovación, within the Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica (I+D)) and FEDER funds. Identification number (SEJ2007-30646-E). Headed by Carmen HERRERO. Its aim is to support activities in favor of women in research. (Partial Report 2009), (Partial Report 2008)
- Modelos Econométricos: Aspectos Teóricos
y Aplicaciones en Microeconometría y Econometría
Financiera
This is a three year project (1/01/2009 . 31/12/2011) granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education (Ministerio de Ciencia e innovación, within the Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica (I+D)) and FEDER funds. Identification number(ECO2008-05721/ECON). Headed by Juan Mora. It involves 9 Ph.D. graduates.
Besides, individual researchers can apply for grants at the IVIE and the University of Alicante.
Both the Spanish Ministry of Education (Program Consolider-Ingenio 2010) and the IVIE promote excellence in research by economically rewarding authors who publish in journals with a high impact rate.
